About Me

Hi, I am Tim. Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you’re here.

I spent over 20 years in tech, mostly with early-stage SaaS and cybersecurity companies. I built high growth sales teams, opened new markets, and helped grow companies from scrappy startups to real players. I worked across North America and Europe, learned how to enter markets with no playbook, and coached teams to hit goals they didn’t think were possible. It was fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding.

But a few years ago, everything changed.

Why This Became Personal

My family needed help caring for aging parents. Like so many families, we wanted them to stay home, stay independent, and stay safe. But finding reliable, compassionate care turned into a nightmare. The options were confusing. The costs were unclear. Caregivers came and went. The system felt impersonal and broken.

That experience opened my eyes. I realized millions of families were going through the same thing. And I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

What I Did Next

I left tech and moved into healthcare. I wanted to understand the system from the inside, not just complain about it. I spent time in operations, learning how care is delivered, where the gaps are, and why things work the way they do.

I saw how fragmented everything was. I saw how caregivers, the people doing the hardest, most important work were undervalued and underpaid. And I saw how families were stuck in the middle, trying to navigate a maze with no clear answers.

I also saw an opportunity. I knew I could take everything I’d learned in tech: building teams, creating systems, putting customers first and apply it to a problem that actually mattered.

What I'm Building Now

Today, I’m focused on two things.

I own and operate Hallmark Homecare in the Raleigh–Durham–Chapel Hill region, where we’re redefining how families find and hire in-home care. Our direct-hire model connects families straight to elite, fully vetted caregivers: no agencies in the middle, no rotating staff, and no hidden fees. Families gain long-term continuity with trusted professionals who show up, and deliver exceptional care. It’s care that’s transparent, consistent, and built on genuine trust, the way it should be.

Second, I’m scaling CareFortis, a healthcare innovation venture created to tackle the very challenges that drew me into this field. We’re building intelligent systems that bring clarity, coordination, and advocacy to every stage of care, from hospital discharge to home support. Our platform empowers families with better information, helps caregivers deliver consistent, high-quality care, and gives providers the tools to reduce burnout and improve outcomes. The goal is simple: to make senior care easier for families, better for caregivers, and more sustainable for the entire care ecosystem.

What Drives Me

Three things keep me grounded every day.

I want seniors to age with dignity, safely and comfortably in their own homes,  not in a facility unless that’s truly their choice. I want families to feel peace of mind, knowing their loved ones are cared for with compassion and professionalism. And I want caregivers to be respected, supported, and rewarded for the essential work they do.

At the heart of it all are my values:  kindness, purpose, and giving back. This isn’t about disrupting an industry for the sake of innovation; it’s about restoring humanity to care, fixing what’s broken, and building something people can genuinely trust.

A Little More About Me

I’m originally from the UK, where I earned my Bachelor’s in Computer Science from the University of Greenwich in London and a Master’s in Information Technology Management and Business from Webster University in St. Louis.

Outside of work, I’m a foodie who loves exploring new flavors, an avid reader, traveler, and hiker, and someone who believes in balance through fitness and staying active. And when I’m not building companies or chasing ideas, you’ll find me cheering for Chelsea FC,  a loyal fan since the age of five.

Today, I call Chapel Hill, North Carolina home. I live here with my wife and our dog, and over the years this community has become deeply personal to me. The people here matter,  their stories, their families, their wellbeing, and I’m committed to building something that truly serves them with care, respect, and purpose.

Thanks for stopping by. Whether you’re exploring care options, have questions, or just want to connect, I’m always happy to start the conversation.
